Let the floodgates open!

Quite literally. At least I can swim. All jokes aside, it looks like this really will be an adventure. I got an email from the university which said that several streets on campus are expected to flood so it is quite serious. I will update you as much as I can on the situation once I'm there.

Anyways, that was not how I wanted to start this blog. I want to go back to something that was asked during the Go Global Departure Session last October. "What do you want to achieve by the end of your exchange?" Answers ranged from learning how to surf to experiencing other cultures, all amazing things that I want as well. What I said though was that I hoped to figure out what I want to do with my life. As lofty as that sounds, I see a six month jaunt away in a foreign land as the kick I need to get out of my comfort zone and stop going about life maintaining status quo. In light of what I have just found out I really do believe that everything life throws at you is a chance to learn more about yourself.
